The Compact Radar Speed Sign with a Rotating Display
The Stalker SAM-R is a small, compact radar speed sign that is easy to transport and can be set up by just one person. Featuring changeable SPEED LIMIT sign numbers and a rotatable mast, the SAM-R can function not only as a radar speed sign, but can also be a powerful traffic data collector when you add the optional Stalker Traffic Analyst package.
High Visibility Display
The SAM-R’s bright 18” amber LED characters are legible from up to 1,000’ (305 m) away and features proprietary LED Lamp Matrix and LED Pulse Width Modulation technology. The LED Lamp Matrix concentrates and focuses the LED’s light, allowing the motorist to see the sign at a greater distance and, thus, act on the speed warning quicker.
LED Pulse Width Modulation significantly increases the time between battery charges and powers the LED’s so that they remain at a consistent brightness throughout the battery’s entire discharge cycle.
When you are ready to move your sign, simply rotate and lock the sign into its streamlined travel configuration for easier towing and improved wind resistance.
Industry-Leading Radar
Equipped with Stalker’s famous Traffic Statistics Sensor K-Band radar, the SAM-R can accurately track vehicles from as far as 1,200’ (365 m) away. It also offers greater range, sensitivity, and tracking when compared to radar signs manufactured by the competition.
Power Up
The SAM-R’s group 27 12-volt battery provides 8-10 days of continuous operation between battery charges, and this time can be extended by installing a second battery. You can add the optional top-mounted solar panels to operate your SAM-R almost indefinitely.
Traffic Statistics
The Stalker Statistical Package can be added to your SAM-R to collect and store traffic data including vehicle speeds, vehicle classification, 85th percentile data, and more. Import the data into the Stalker Easy Analyst software and use it to create colorful reports, charts, and graphics perfect for grants, city councils, and other departments involved in traffic safety and enforcement.
